Ink Wars 2018

Eight Artists. Some pencils, sharpies and a theme. One hour to furiously create as the minutes tick down and the attendees excitedly, nervously pace, weave around the work and cheer the artists on.

Brigette Davitt is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Edinboro University. She has also taught the Graphic Design Summer Art Workshop at Temple University Japan (Tokyo) and as an Adjunct Professor at Tyler School of Art (Philadelphia) and Point Park University (Pittsburgh). She received her MFA in Graphic and Interactive Design from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and her BFA in Applied Media Arts from Edinboro University.

Brigette is a long-standing member of AIGA | The Professional Association of Design, and served as the Education Director of AIGA Pittsburgh from 2010–2017. Her professional practice includes collaborative public murals, research, contract design and consultations for various clients as well as service donations to numerous non-profit organizations. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has been awarded/published by the UCDA, HOW, Creative Quarterly, and CMYK.

Dylan Menges won Ink Wars at Creative South in 2015. Almost choked at Ink Wars WMC in 2016. And traded marker for microphone in 2017, playing emcee at Creative South's Ink Wars. But he's back on the board for WMC OTG, and bringing his best Crayola 64 crayon set.

Lena Elizer is a designer, illustrator, and entrepreneur living in East Tennessee. She spends most of her day crafting kick ass brand images and websites for other female solo-preneurs, and sketches happy little illustrations for her Etsy shop in her spare time. She’s a big fan of equality, caffeine, pondering the zombie apocalypse, and barefoot hiking; in that order.

Lenny Terenzi is a Designer, illustrator, educator, screen printer, community builder. He wears a lot of hats, one head. He is a a dreamer, blue sky thinker. ENFP-A on the Myers Briggs scale. He thrives in group activities and social interaction. Probably stemming from my days as a touring musician. Blues and Classic R&B if you are curious though his youth was spent with long hair and headbanging to the Sunset Strip.

Kevin is a Miami native currently studying in Cleveland, OH. He enjoys long walks in the park and also has a passion for playing the piano.

Isaiah Carrasco works in Creative Content Develop at Industry Print Shop in Austin, Texas.
