How to Practice Understanding speaks about how we see ourselves, one another and how that impacts the way in which we understand one another. Panelists Harmony Moon, Laura Wimbels, Deidre McPherson, Marshall Shorts and Sky White address questions like:
  • How can we do a better job of getting to know one another in a real and authentic way in order to affect societal change?
  • How can practice better empathy, particularly in these politically charged times?
  • What are some ways we can all practice understanding for those that are of a different background to us?
  • How can this all make us better artists, designers, and creatives?

HOST BIO :

Ken Schenk, PhD, is the producer/host of This Show is So Gay, the long-running, award-winning radio show and podcast. He is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post and just released his first book, “Seriously, What Am I Doing Here? The Adventures of a Wondering and Wandering Gay Jew”. In his spare time, he is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Leadership in Higher Education Program at Baldwin Wallace University where he teaches courses on anti-racism, ethical leadership, and how individuals can work with communities to create a more engaged and just world.
