I had a chance to talk with new WMC Fest sponsor Caffeinated Solutions run by web developer Jonathan Knapp. Fresh off the Startup Bus, here’s what he had to say.

Hi, my name is Jonathan Knapp and I’m an Akron webaholic. I’ve been making custom websites and applications at my company, Caffeinated Solutions for the past few years. I run a few local web groups and have been attaching myself to the local tech scene quite a bit over the past year. I am a proud supporter of people that are passionate about what they do in life. I supported WMC Fest last year and am honored to be able to do it again this year.

I began by making a website I found on a campus job board at Akron University. I then created a touch screen bingo game and a Flash based learning management system for a local startup I was a part of. I’ve continue to spread by word of mouth thanks to my mad skillz and passion.

I think my best breakthrough was when I decided I wanted to quit the startup that I was a part of. I didn’t agree with the business direction and I felt out of touch with where I wanted to be. I decided to hit the ground running and poured my life into making myself into who I wanted to be. Never looked back.

Be careful out there. It’s really nice to let your passion guide you, but not everyone else out there makes decisions with their hearts and will gladly take advantage of you. I suggest getting a group of people that you trust and bouncing ideas off of them instead of going in alone.
