It is an amazing feat that over the course of 14 years and various line-up changes that The Appleseed Cast have never faltered, continually improving and maintaining a cohesion throughout their discography despite the contributions of many musicians through the years. Every The Appleseed Cast album is always measured by fans beside their earlier works, particularly the Low Level Owl albums, while other fans prefer works like Two Conversations or Mare Vitalis. Despite all of the changes and being held to the achievements of previous works, the band continues to expand their sound and experiment with their identity. While many lump The Appleseed Cast into either the emo or post-rock camp, the truth is it lies somewhere in between.
